Families can work with Kayla one-on-one through two distinct paths: skill building sessions focused on practical coaching and tools, and therapy sessions for deeper ongoing support.  Together, we determine which path best matches your child’s current story and needs.

Both paths are now available virtually, with a limited number of in-person sessions also offered.

Skill Building Sessions

Skill building sessions are practical, coaching-style sessions focused on concrete tools and strategies for navigating daily life. We work together on developing emotion regulation, communication tools, and effective routines that help manage the sticky parts of growing up.

These sessions are lower-intensity, shorter-term, and focused on skills parents and children can start using right away. They are ideal for families looking for immediate, actionable strategies to improve transitions and problem-solving skills at home.

Managing big feelings and frustration

Smoother transitions and daily routines

Communication and expressing needs

Social skills and friendship tools

Problem-solving and flexibility

Handling sibling conflict

Clinical Therapy Sessions

Therapy dives deeper to explore core beliefs and emotional patterns that feel “stuck.” While we incorporate practical skill-building, this work uses evidence-based modalities to support lasting emotional change and healing.

The foundation of this work is safety, trust, and a deep collaboration with caregivers. I work alongside you to understand your child’s inner world, using play and conversation to process difficult emotions and foster genuine healing.

  • Anxiety, worry, and perfectionism
  • Friendship and school challenges
  • Adjusting to big changes or losses
  • Persistent sadness or low self-esteem
  • Big emotional reactions that feel hard to control
  • Grief, trauma, or stressful life events
  • Feeling stuck in patterns of anger, worry, or withdrawal

How it works

01

Free 15-minute phone consult

A quick, no-pressure chat to see if my approach is a good match for your child and your family's current chapter.

02

Intake session to learn your child’s story

In this initial full 50 minute session, we dive deeper into your concerns and your child's history to create a clear picture of how support will look.

03

Identify the best path forward

We decide together whether skill-building sessions, therapy sessions, or a blend of both is the most effective fit for your needs.

04

Ongoing check-ins and support

We keep communication open through regular check-ins to ensure that our support continues to match your child's evolving needs and growth.
