August 3–7 | 4:30-6:00PM | SUMMER SMALL GROUP
The Plot Twist Lab
Friendships are more complex than ever. The single biggest predictor of social success isn’t popularity—it’s flexibility.
The Plot Twist Lab gives kids a safe, hands-on space to practice flexibility in real time.
It serves as the perfect bridge for 3rd–5th graders returning to school, helping them build the resilience needed to shift perspectives, navigate small conflicts, and try new things even when they don’t go their way.
Social Problem-Solving
Compromising without losing their voice. Kids learn to listen, negotiate, and find solutions that work for everyone.
Emotional Regulation
Staying grounded through plot twists. We practice tools for calming their body, naming feelings, and bouncing back when things don’t go as planned.
Group Dynamics
Reading social cues and joining in with confidence. Kids learn how to enter play, handle misunderstandings, and repair when there’s a bump in the relationship.
Flexible Thinking
Moving from my way to our way. We stretch their thinking so they can try new ideas, consider others’ perspectives, and share control.
When: Aug 3–7, 4:30–6:00pm

Questions?
What makes The Plot Twist Lab special?
The Plot Twist Lab offers a unique experience with an intimate 4:1 child-to-therapist ratio in a cozy, home-like group environment. I leverage my years of experience in school settings to guide children through social dynamics effectively. Plus, the timing is specifically planned for right before school resumes, providing a comforting bridge that helps kids build momentum and social confidence exactly when they need it most.
Why is an intake session required?
An intake session allows me to meet your child and family to ensure the group dynamic is a therapeutic fit for everyone involved. Because I have a limit of four participants, this 50-minute meeting helps us tailor the "Plot Twist" curriculum to your child's specific goals before the first day.
My child has a specific diagnosis. Is this group a good fit?
The Plot Twist Lab is ideal for kids in Grades 3–5 who struggle with "stuck" thinking, such as difficulty compromising, following rigid rules in play, or managing frustration when plans change. It is a great fit for children with ADHD, mild anxiety, or Level 1 Autism who are ready to practice social cues and teamwork in a small, supportive group.
Do you accept insurance?
The Plot Twist Lab is a private-pay program and does not bill insurance directly. A full receipt/superbill can be provided upon request for you to submit to your provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. Because our group size is strictly limited to four participants to ensure personalized coaching, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your child’s spot. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the session beginning (July 20).
